Justice Unplugged
Right, so this came onto the bloggosphere last week. Number one on hypem, countless blogs hailing the return of Xavier and Gaspard.
Then it turned out to be a fake. Some guy with logic and a couple of synths had managed to re-create Justice’s sound. He had sent out an email which looked like it had been sent from Ed Banger (Justice’s record label), so the blogs thought it was legit.
What does this mean though? Are Justice really any good if someone can copy them so easily? Are they actually bad musicians and bad producers, its just they found a niche in the market carved out for them after We are your friends, and they thought they should stay there and churn out the same rubbish.
I dunno, I’ve been waiting for ages for new stuff from them, and it seems that anything that gets leaked (Planisphere) is just not up to scratch.
Hopefully new gigs (england hopefully, Brighton Preferably) and new material soon please, thanks.

The lack of posts has been down to a few things: College deadlines, new jobs, finishing old jobs, and more DJ work. Not to mention countless nights of getting too drunk. Whatever happened to my detox in Jan? I think it failed when i went to fabric to see Untold, but more about that in a future post.
Today is a post that I’ve been wanting to do for ages. Basically its an awesome DnB song.
DnB is normally quite unaccessable for the masses unless its Pendulum or Chasey status, but this track has it all. Horns, Brass, Bass, and awesome Breakdowns.
Sigma have been in the game for years, championed by the likes of Annie Mac and Fresh, and have recently done a Remix for Redlight (Clipz)

Jakwob
Its quite interesting how involved and intertwined the music industry is. Jakwob seems to have come from nowhere with massive remixes of both Ellie Goulding tracks, and a couple more. But in reality if i had done some myspace listening and research earlier this year from my previous fav bands I would have found him, as his first first on myspace (best friend?) is William Bowerman. Bowerman is currently La Roux’s Live Drummer, and used to be in a electro-emo ish band called ‘I was a Cub Scout’ which I was lucky enough to be featured in a video of theirs once upon a time.
Anyways enough about that, more of this:

Nero can seriously do no wrong at the mo, his remixes are always first class.
I know this is only a rubbish quality youtube clip, but still can you imagine what this would sound like when released in High Quality?!

Nico Locke + Jordan Hills are goodinjections.
They are basically amazingly chilled electro beat boys.
They are ‘together’.
They make funny videos.
They make awesome songs
Some of that is true, some is false. Decide and decode for yourself.
Latest Effort is ‘Pony Slaystation’. Its a nice up tempo ambient track. The vocals from Hills had a nice autotune touch.
Great track, just waiting for the album now, WOOOP!
