So, here it is! The Hundredth Post for StayCurious.co.uk.
I started about a year ago on this blog, the first post was 29th Jan 2009, which seems an age ago. Since then I’ve seen a lot of Downloads, which means that I’m achieving what I set out to do, let the masses know about awesome music that would normally just stay a secret on the blogosphere.
With this hundredth post I thought I’d share with you two tracks that are currently making massive waves in my life. I saw Yeasayer at Digital last week, and they blew me away. The album is already pretty incredible, but their live performance was just jaw dropping. A top gig in a top Venue. This is their new single which has been given the XXXChange remix treatment, abolute BANGER.
Crookers, Crooker, Crookers… Where do I start? Their album was due out last may, and now its looking like this may. (Bit of a delay). But apparantly, the previews of it are sounding good, the delay in the release of the album has given crookers time to make it better. Stand-out track already for me is the incredible collaboration with Miike Snow entitled ‘Remedy’. This is the bass ridden stormer remix by Magik Johnson.
ACTUALLY WOW, you should really download this remix, its HUGE.
Im Broadcasting tonight on http://nsr.fm. The Stay Curious Radio Show is a Regular Radio show that will be on your airwaves from 7pm-8pm every thursday!

Now dont get me wrong, I love photos and all that, but Im a music man. When I see a photo, I know whether its good or bad, but I dont know why. I dont know about light, and exposure, and 3rds etc. I deal with Builds, Breakdowns, Bridges, and Bangers.
Even so I can tell that Gang Up magazine is pretty special. The Editorials by people like Sam Hiscox, DarkDaze, Louie Banks, and new-kid-on-the-block Eleni Mettyear look FANTASTIC
But I still dont know why they look so good. It makes me want to go out and take pictures, and at the same time not.
So recently been more into the chilled music. Stuff like Ellie Goulding, Yeasayer, XX, people like that. Couple of weeks ago Annie Mac played this track by Theophilus London, and been addicted since. Its nice, chilled, like a UK Take on Cudi.
How about a old classic as well. With Tiga on the remix, its always gonna be good. I heard this recently in a club again for the first time in a while and it reminded me how much this rocks! Listen out for the cheeky sample from Snoop Dogg. Mainroom BANGER!
Right, so this came onto the bloggosphere last week. Number one on hypem, countless blogs hailing the return of Xavier and Gaspard.
Then it turned out to be a fake. Some guy with logic and a couple of synths had managed to re-create Justice’s sound. He had sent out an email which looked like it had been sent from Ed Banger (Justice’s record label), so the blogs thought it was legit.
What does this mean though? Are Justice really any good if someone can copy them so easily? Are they actually bad musicians and bad producers, its just they found a niche in the market carved out for them after We are your friends, and they thought they should stay there and churn out the same rubbish.
I dunno, I’ve been waiting for ages for new stuff from them, and it seems that anything that gets leaked (Planisphere) is just not up to scratch.
Hopefully new gigs (england hopefully, Brighton Preferably) and new material soon please, thanks.
Curiousity Killed the Cat, or so they say. Theres no felines here, just amazing tracks, and subtle commentary.
